Testimonials

This is what people are saying about Lake Norman Community Sailing...

"Hi Christy
I hope that you had a terrific holiday!  I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know about a vacation we just took.  Over the holiday, we headed down to Key Largo and stayed at the Key Lime Sailing Club (an awesome place if anyone you know is looking for a vacation where you can sail).  While we were there, we got to sail a 22 foot Catalina as much as we wanted to as a family, and Sims got to sail a sunfish as much as he wanted to.  The club's policy on the sunfish was-if you can rig it, you can sail it.  They had very few people ever sail it.  Sims had a blast sailing in the bay while we were there.  The two captains and the sailing instructor at the club kept giving us the nicest compliments on how well Sims sailed and how prepared he was and how comfortable Sims was sailing by himself.  I write this to tell you-Thank you.  ☺  His sailing education came solely from your sailing center camps and the 420 class.  You guys are doing a terrific job with the kiddos, and it shows.  We look forward to seeing you in the spring, if not earlier!"
Best regards
Sharon (aka-Sims' mom)

"Both of the kids had a great week.  Thank you to everyone who made it such a wonderful experience for each of the participants.  What a wonderful summer activity for those young ones out of school."

"Wow! Thanks for an awesome class!  I've never had so much fun.  I'm definitely getting my own Sunfish and my husband is eager to try a Flying Scot...just registered us both for next month's class!"

" Sean-my husband and I had a blast this past weekend! Well, he's still sore and thought it was harder than expected but still had fun! Totally going to sign up for annual pass! Now, if I can figure out the rigging on my new boat I'm all set! Thanks a million times over! Honestly never thought I could do this!"

"I simply wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much Amber and I enjoyed our lesson. We had a great experience and learned a lot. I hope to come back soon and look forward to more sailing with you and the members of NCCSR. Amber and I are actively pursuing a dream of sailing full time and you have only added hope to that dream. Thank you."

"My family attended the "Sailors with Special Needs" event this past weekend. It was a very wonderful experience for all. While everyone was awesome, I wanted to send a special thanks out to Herb and David Greenman for their time and expertise in taking us sailing."
Scott Hudson

"This donation is made on behalf of two of your outstanding staff members, Sean and Christy. After a recent boating accident, they took me in and Christy administered excellent first aid with total compassion. Sean then took me to hospital emergency and remained with me all during my treatment until my release.
As an organization, you are to be congratulated on finding two such excellent individuals to represent North Carolina Community Sailing. Best wishes for continued success."

"My husband and I attended the Adult Learn to Sail this past weekend. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the weekend. David Greenman was our instructor and he did an excellent job for us. He was thorough in ensuring that all our questions were answered. He was patient and quick to identify anything that seemed to be confusing us. We have children who do not sail yet but wanted to in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to send them with David for instruction should the opportunity arise.
Again, thank you to you and your instructors for such a great introduction to sailing. We are buying the Family Pass and looking forward to using it over the next 12 months."

"Hello, Sean. Thank you for the note. I can't say enough how much I appreciated your ability/flexibility to meet with me and your awesome approach and patience in teaching. I had an absolute blast...back in a heartbeat!"
