Adult Programs at LNCS involve the following activities:

• Memberships - Buy a 12 Month Family or Individual Membership that gives you access to our fleet of boats, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.  

  • Social Sail (Racing format) - Supervised sailing, all skill levels, where sailors develop skills while racing against other LNCS sailors. This has proven to be our most popular structured format, regardless of experience. Emphasis is on growing sailing skills while promoting sportsmanship and sailing enjoyment. The racing format is open to all adult Members. LNCS Membership required.

  • Open Sailing - Unsupervised...once "skipper" qualified, sailors can check out a boat any time they like and just go sailing. LNCS Membership required.

• Learn to Sail (LTS) - We offer Learn to Sail classes on weekends with the goal of becoming a "skipper"...able to check out a boat seven days a week. Membership is not required to take the class. 

• ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Class - LNCS is an American Sailing Association affiliated school offering ASA 101 Basic Keelboat certification classes.  We also offer cruising opportunities on the Chesapeake and in the Caribbean.

• Stand Up Paddleboard Classes - We offer paddleboard classes for Members and Non-Members. Classes are for all fitness and skill levels.
  

• Intro to Flat Water Kayaking Classes - New in 2023! Learn the basics of kayaking technique and safety on Lake Norman.
