Adult Programs at LNCS involve the following activities:
Learn to sail (LTS) - We offer Learn to Sail classes typically on weekends on the Flying Scot or Sunfish with the goal of becoming a "skipper"...able to check out a boat 7 days a week. Once a skipper, you can pursue getting qualified on a keelboat. No LNCS Pass required to take the class. LNCS Pass is required to check out boats.
Stand Up Paddleboard Classes - We offer one hour paddleboard classes for Pass Holders and Non-Pass Holders. Classes are for all fitness levels.
ASA/Keelboat Program - LNCS is now an American Sailing Association affiliated school offering ASA 101, 103, 104 and 105! We also offer cruising opportunities and an annual Chesapeake Charter trip (4 boats!). LNCS Pass required. Keelboat Pass required to check out keelboats.
Social Sail (Racing format) - Supervised sailing, all skill levels, where sailors develop skills while racing against other LNCS sailors. This has proven to be our most popular structured format, regardless of experience. Emphasis is on growing sailing skills while promoting sportsmanship and sailing enjoyment. The racing format is open to all adult Pass Holders. LNCS Pass required.
Open Sailing - Unsupervised...once "skipper" qualified, sailors can check out a boat any time they like and just go sailing. LNCS Pass required.
