INTRODUCING TUESDAY FUN DAY FOR MEMBERS
FAMILY FRIENDLY!
Tuesday Fun Day is a supervised sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding activity for adults, parents and children who are competent swimmers. It is a great way to get involved with other members, enjoy Lake Norman, and improve skills without being competitive. In order to accommodate our members, there is a limit of six member invited guests total per Tuesday evening. Tuesday Fun Days are set up in a follow the leader format to maximize fun and learning. Each evening will end with a potluck meal.
Here's how it works:
- Sign up to attend and bring food on the Signup Sheet.
- Classroom Session: We will start each session with a short classroom session to go over what we will be doing for the evening but priority will be given to unstructured time on the water.
- Activity: Everyone will choose the activity they will be doing and we will pair up skippers and crew. Our goals are:
- Learn boat safety
- Have fun
- Improve skills and techniques
- Practice boat docking and derigging/put away procedures
- Use Flying Scots, Sunfish, Paddleboards and Kayaks
- Potluck Meal: We will follow up the evening fun with a potluck meal and gathering. Please use the signup sheet.
Tuesday Fun Days are meant to compliment the Wednesday Social Sail racing. Tuesdays will emphasize boating skills for adults and the whole family in a noncompetitive atmosphere.
