The third annual Lake Norman Yacht Club (LNYC) fundraiser benefitting Lake Norman Community Sailing (LNCS) will be on Saturday, September 7th. 

Over the past 15 years, LNCS has offered sailing instruction to new sailors as well as sailors who haven't been very active over the years. Two of the boats used in these classes have been Sunfish and Flying Scots; boats which have active fleets at LNYC. Many of these sailors learn, or refresh their skills, at Lake Norman Community Sailing and then move on to join Lake Norman Yacht Club.

In an effort to support Lake Norman Community Sailing, Lake Norman Yacht Club holds an annual fundraiser. There will be club series racing that day followed by a dinner, raffles, as well as silent and live auctions. 

LNCS is a 501 (c) (3) organization which offers sailing and waterfront activities to the greater community.  Our programs include: all-access Memberships, popular twice weekly Social Sails, Learn to Sail classes, ASA certification courses, paddleboard classes, kayak classes and educational seminars. A good portion of our budget comes from donations.
